BEHIND THE LENS

I'm a Senior at Oxford High School.  I am working on my second Art Appreciation course as well as being on the Year Book staff.  I have created over 50 advertisements for our schools Athletic Program for the 2014-2015 football season.  

 

I am also a member of the Oxford High School Marching Band.  I march playing the Trumpet and during concert season I play the French Horn.  I am currently the section leader over 15 Trumpets and 2 Mellophones.  I was the section leader for the Horn section year 2013-2014.  Being selected by Alabama Bandmasters Association All-State Festival in Huntsville AL was the highlight of my Junior year.  Our All-State band played a piece called "Leviathan" written by Tyler R. Arcari.

 

When I moved to Oxford in 2010, I was approached by my band director and asked if I would consider being a part of an elite group of students, the Oxford High School Symphonic Band.  Of course, I had to learn the French Horn, which proved to be a challenge and a great success. By accepting the challenge, myself and my fellow symphonic members had the priviledge to play at the Chicago Symphony Hall.
